Global Search Engine Branding for Samsung: Maximizing brand visibility on major search engines worldwide!



1. Situation

In 2001, Samsung Electronics (www.samsung.com) requests global search engine brand marketing as a part of its entire corporate branding strategy. The purpose of this campaign is to optimize www.samsung.com (www.samsungelectronics.com) to be listed on the top of major and local search engines worldwide.

2) Problem

When an internet user (potential or loyal customer) makes a search by a keyword "Samsung" or "Samsung Electronics" on one of major or local search engine, www.samsung.com had not appeared on the first 3 pages of search results (the visibility was only about 30%). This problem causes inconvenience to potential online customers and lowered Samsung's online brand recognition.

3) Solution
